Great Divide Pt 3
Straight from Travis:
Been a rough few days since the rally. We left steamboat in a blizzard up the pass. Mathew Johnson gladly gave his bike to Kenny [Bartram]. Mathew drove by to check on us on his way to the airport and it was lucky for Kenny he did. Kenny hates the cold almost as much as I do and he was falling behind so Matt gave him a tow back up to us. Today it snowed all day but we finally cleared the tallest mtn of the ride at 11,800 feet. It wasn't so bad because it was too cold to melt and we stayed dry.. unlike the past couple days. We actually met up with Daniel Dhers (randomly at a restaurant in Breckinridge) so we decided to hang with him and his buddies and let the snow pass.
Our ADD kicked in though and we took off before the storm ended. Got a few miles in today. Quite a few people have been stopping in to say, "hello." Not one has brought a hot chocolate or anything edible.. hint hint.. the funniest was two days ago when we went by a neighborhood and this 5-year old kid and his father were just standing there waiting for us, holding a 199 monster truck and a sharpie. Thanks for the support guys!
Also, if anyone brings that car we left alongside the trail in montana all the way to my house in MD.. it's worth a free week stay and a few back flip lessons :)
