Pastrana to Compete in Blue Ox 100
Travis Pastrana added another race to his schedule earlier this week, but this time it?s on the East Coast. TP will be running at the Richmond International Raceway to compete in the Blue Ox 100 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race on Thursday night, April 28th. He has raced in two stock car events this year: The Toyota All-Star Challenge at Irwindale Speedway, where he finished sixth, and the K&N West Series race at Phoenix, where he crashed late in the race finishing 25th.
The K&N series is NASCAR?s a stepping-stone to the Camping World Truck Series, the Nationwide Series and the Sprint Cup Series. Broken into an East and West schedule, many current NASCAR stars have come through the ranks to compete at a higher level: including, Joey Logano, Martin Truex and soon to be Cole Whitt.
Pastrana will drive the Pastrana-Waltrip Racing Toyota in the 100-lap Thursday night race at the three-quarter-mile track in Richmond. The Nationwide Series has a 250-lap race on Friday night which TP plans on being in attendance and the Sprint Cup teams will race 400 laps on Saturday night.
