Pastrana finds joy in his first stock-car outing



Dave Rodman of NASCAR.com recently published the article ?Pastrana finds joy in his first stock-car outing?, a great look into Pastrana?s new venture into stock car racing. This past weekend, Travis took his first few laps at the New Smyrna Speedway in Florida, a short, high-banked half-mile course. This is what he had to say about it:

"It was a really good car to get a base feel, I really felt good in the car and everybody was really happy with how it turned out." Travis did admit that at the beginning he was ?charging the corners too hard,? and had a few close calls.

His biggest ?oh no? moment of the day came when he over drove the entry to a corner and put the car into a four-wheel drift bending the car?s entire front suspension. In typical Travis fashion he avoided slamming into the wall and ?actually slid the car all the way around the corner to the exit. I?m sure it wasn?t my quickest lap ? but it was fun.?
